Stampin' Up! Convention Swaps

As I've shared in some of my previous posts, I really enjoyed attending the Stampin' Up! Convention.  Whenever an individual attends Convention or even other Stampin' Up! events it is common practice to bring along card fronts to swap.  Since this was my first year at convention, I must admit that I sweated and fretted about my swaps!  I wanted them to be "perfect" and, well, I actually think I went over the top but must admit that I had fun creating my swaps and really do love the way they turned out.

These swaps really are not "demonstratable" and really do fall under the label of "artistic."  I hope you enjoy my first swap card using the new stamp set, Artistic Etchings!  I LOVE this set especially since I've been to Paris, France and visited the Eiffel Tower.

This card also uses the the new Designer Series Paper called "Newsprint" which I love.  I have to say thank you to my niece, Kamryn, for helping me distress each of the cards as well as sponging along the edges.  She did an awesome job.  I must also thank my Sister-In-Law, Lori, for writing out the word "mon" on each small tag.

If you love this card, please leave me a note!  I love to hear from my blog visitors.

Last Day at Stampin' Up! Convention

Oh, today is a sad day in one sense in that the Stampin' Up! Convention is coming to an end. I've really enjoyed myself and will really miss all the new friends that I've made especially my roommates!

This was my first time to convention and the energy is very contagious. I've had such a blast and cannot express what it has meant for me to come. I've learned some great business tips and am excited about some new tools Stampin' Up! is providing demonstrators to help them reach new goals.

My biggest goal for the year is to add more workshops to my repertoire of business activities. If you have NEVER tried stamping, I ask that you consider hosting a show with other non-stamping friends. I have some great ideas for quick and easy projects that ANYONE can do!

In the month of August, Stampin' Up! Is having a great hostess promotion that includes an additional $25.00 in free product from Stampin' Up! with a $350.00 qualifying show which is LESS than the average Stampin' Up! workshop.

Email me or call me at (919) 995-4564 if you are interested in hosting a workshop. I'll travel anywhere reasonable by car :). Ok - up to an hour or two!

More to come.

Charley Jenkins is in the house!

Ok.

I'm not a huge country music fan, but this was fun! Check out what just pulled into the convention center here in Salt Lake City, Utah!

And... The music actually rocks!

Because I Care Card

Because I Care!

Here is a beautiful, simple card using the new Level 1 Hostess set called "Because I care."

I must admit that I wasn't overly excited about this set even though I received as a free gift from Stampin' Up! Hello, it was free. So who cares if I'm not crazy about the set. Well, over the past month I had started seeing some really cute cards using this set.

Then, last night, at the Power Flower party, this card was being demonstrated and I just LOVE the card and the SIMPLICITY of the card! How cool is that! Anyway, I can't wait to get home and make this awesome card.

I hope you enjoy the video along with some of the other cards displayed.

Flower Power Party Line

Flower Power!

Last night I attended the "Flower Power" party at the 2010 Stampin' Up! Convention. It was lots of fun and there were definitely some crazy "60's outfits" to be found. Me... well, I just wore the great Tie Die T-Shirt that my roommate, Lisa Johnson made me with the help of her daughters along with a cute 60's style necklace.

Here is a quick video as we were waiting to get into the Flower Power party!

Oh, another quick note and plug for the FLIP Video Camera... I LOVE the FLIP Slide which Caleb and Mike bought me for Mother's Day! It is so fun and easy to use, now I just need to learn to edit videos :)... If you want an easy, fun video camera, I HIGHLY recommend the FLIP Slide...

So, if you are at home and not here in Salt Lake City, Utah, then go do some Stampin' and Scrappin'!

Day 1 - Stampin' Up! Convention

Hello and Good Morning!

I'm coming to you from my hotel room here at the Radisson in Salt Lake City, Utah for the Stampin' Up! Convention. I'm so excited that I was awake at 5 AM this morning and I'm all showered and ready to check-out the goodies at Memento Mall.

I'll have early entrance since signed up a new recruit this past weekend. I'm so excited!

This is my first Stampin' Up! Convention.

Yesterday my roommate arrived and she took me on a wonderful driving tour to see the sights and enjoy the mountains.
