PPA33 Color Challenge and Lots of Bots

Lots Of Bots

This past week has been really crazy at the Staples household!  On Monday, March 1, my Father-In-Law had surgery which required him to stay in the hospital for at least 5 days.  The good news is that he was able to go home over the weekend and is doing fairly well.

When I saw the Pals Paper Arts Color Challenge, PPA33, I decided I just had to play along.  I knew I needed to make a "Get Well" card for my Father-In-Law and the colors just seemed to call out to me as a great color scheme for his Get Well card!

I hope you enjoy the card!

Card Recipe:

Stamp Set:  Lots of Bots
Designer Series Paper:  Certainly Celery
Cardstock:  Certainly Celery, Kraft and Garden Green
Embellishments:  Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Jumbo Eyelets

Then, of course, MaCree the Kitty Cat - Pesky Kitty, insisted on adding her "Paw of Authenticity" and showcase the photo.  I think she approves, don't you agree?

Have a Sunny Day!

Medallion Magic

This is one of those stamp sets that comes along and the first reaction is WOW, I gotta have that! The Medallion is a background stamp in a circular shape which is a change from all the other Stampin' Up! background stamps. The stamp is absolutely beautiful with an elegant design.

Here is a sample of a card I created today using the medallion stamp. It is a Get Well card for my dad that just had shoulder surgery today.

Stamp Set: Medallion
Colors: Close To Cocoa; Chocolate Chip; Bashful Blue
Embellishments: Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon; Whisper White 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon
Hardware: Hodgepodge Hardware Silver

This past Saturday I went to a baby shower for a friend and made the "Beautiful Little Baby" card which is one of my absolute favorite cards. Then the next day it was my upline's birthday and, of course, needed a birthday card. I love the way both of these cards turned out. The colors are beautiful and I just love the layouts. Enjoy...

This past Friday, my upline celebrated her wedding anniversary so a card was needed for both her and her wonderful husband who patiently puts up with so many crafty women invading his home on a regular basis. The inspiration and design for this card came from Mojo Monday #81. Mojo Monday is quickly becoming a favorite website especially for card design patterns. I also find inspiration from Lauren Meader. Lauren has a beautiful style and her designs are always fresh as well as fun.

Here is one of my mother's day cards and I'm working on additional cards...

This is the latest 3D project that I've been working on from Stampin' Up. It is called the Scalloped Box and is very cute. The box isn't very big but fits a small bag of treats, business cards or a large pack of gum.
