Big Rig Punch Art Card

 Big Rig Punch Art Card

This past week my brother, Randy, passed his Commercial Driving License (CDL) test.  He had been out of work for almost a year and although he was taking classes to become an electrician, he was having difficulties finding an apprenticeship even though he was at the top of his class.  After talking it over with his family and extended family he decided to look into getting his CDL.  On the recommendation of a cousin, he contacted Roehl Trucking and signed up for their 3 week training program.  I just knew I had to make a special card for my brother when we heard the good news that he had passed his CDL test!

This card was so much fun to make and I think it really turned out great.  To help me out, I searched the internet for "Semi Truck Punch Art Card" and really didn't find anything but I did find a "volkswagon bug" card by Sam on her blog that helped provide me with a starting point.  I then pulled up the Roehl Trucking website and found a great photo of a Semi Trailer to use as my template.

I used the largest oval punch for the cab and engine compartments of the truck then used the smaller ovals for the windshield and front grill of the truck.  The headlights were created using the Heart to Heart punch. The bumper I cut with my paper cuter to the size I wanted.  The mirrors were hand cut.  The wheels were made by using the modern label extra large punch.

Here is my finished card:

The Occasions Mini Catalog Sample

OCCASIONS MINI CATALOG IS HERE!  Yes, you heard me the new Occasions Mini Catalog has arrived and along with it the Sale-A-Bration is also going on at this time.  With every $50.00 of product purchased you can choose an item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure along with a few select stamp sets from the current 2009/2010 Catalog.

The biggest news to hit the fan is the announcement that Stampin' Up! is now offering Cling Mounted Stamps.  So you ask, what is Cling Mounted?  Cling Mounted is a rubber based stamp that "clings" to a clear acrylic block.  The wonderful thing about Cling Mounted Stamps is that it is easier to place your stamp when stamping a project and you can also put multiple stamps on one acrylic block for a collage effect...  But don't worry, if you LOVE the wood mounted rubber stamps that Stampin' Up! is known for, we still have those in all the new stamp sets as well.  At this time, the Cling Mounted Stamps are only available in the Occasions Mini.  If you would like to learn more, please email me or give me a call.

Ah, what better way to express your love for someone by creating an handmade card!  Just think of the possibilities.  The card can be relatively simple or slightly more complex.  The choice is yours to make.

Stamping and Scrapbooking is how I express my love for my friends and family creating unique gifts.  Did you know that I can teach you and help you learn how to create beautiful cards, scrapbook pages and 3D gifts!

Valentine Top Note Box

Earlier this week, I hosted a "Be My Valentine" Stamp Camp.  We had a lot of fun creating a couple of cards along with a 3D project using the Top Note Die.  This box was created using a pattern that I had received from my upline and I'm not certain where she obtained the pattern - so - I'll give credit to my upline, Jen Krieger, for the pattern and to whom ever else may have created the pattern as I'm certain you know who you are and I want to give you a big Thank You for this pattern. Update:  The pattern is from Becky Roberts :)

This Top Note box is just cute.  I haven't embellished the box yet but hope to soon when my Heart Embosslit arrives early next week!

I hope you enjoy the box and small 3x3 card sample!  If you look closely, you can see the tip of my kitty cats nose assisting in the "modeling" of the box and card!
