Happy Birthday

Big Birthday Bash Stamp-A-Stack

Well, the Big Birthday Bash Stamp-A-Stack, was a success!  I had a wonderful time and several ladies also came over on Saturday during the Spring Fling Crop to make the Birthday Cards since they were not able to make it the day of the Stamp-A-Stack.

To all my friends, YES, you CAN make cards from a Stamp-A-Stack at one of my monthly crops!  If you are unable to attend a Stamp-A-Stack on the day it is held, call me and let me know you would like to attend the crop and complete the Stamp-A-Stack - essentially you are RSVP'ing for the package and I'll have all the materials ready for you when you come to the crop.

Here is the first of the 3 cards that I created:

Card Recipe:

Cardstock:  Certainly Celery, Elegant Eggplant, Very Vanilla, So Saffron
Stamp Set:  Happy Moments from the Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration Brochure

Animal Stories for a Baby

Hello Baby Sloan!

This is a card that I just made for a friend that I'm seeing tonight at a BBQ. Her daughter, Sloan, was born about 1 month ago. She is an absolutely beautiful baby and it was time for me to say "Hello Baby!"

Stamp Set: Animal Stories & Teen Tiny Wishes
Designer Series Paper: Tall Tales
Colors: So Saffron, Soft Suede
Accessories: Hodgepodge Hardware & Grosgrain Ribbon

WOW Watercolor!

I absolutely love to watercolor and love the look of watercolor paintings. The French Impressionist era is one of my favorite periods of Art History. The works of Claude Monet, Edouard Manet, Edgar Degas and Piere Augusta Renoir are just a few of my favorites. During my Junior and Senior years of College, I was able to squeeze an Art Minor into my busy schedule. The medium that I focused on for my art studies was watercolors.

Because of my background and love of watercoloring, this card just calls out to me. It is a beautiful technique that is actually relatively easy. There are a few different names for the technique I believe but I've been told that it is called "WOW Watercolor Technique." Regardless of what you call this technique, it does create a WOW reaction!

On July 29, I will be teaching a the WOW Watercolor Technique class. To RSVP or learn more about the class, click HERE for my Meetup.com site!

This is a very versatile card great for Wedding Cards, Mother's Day Card or a birthday card. The card is absolute elegance!
